The PCL was established in November 1946 under the Indian Companies Act VII 1913. Its objective was to foster a spirit of comradeship and afford facilities for playing both in-door and out-door sports.

The PCL was established in November 1946 under the Indian Companies Act VII 1913. Its objective was to foster a spirit of comradeship and afford facilities for playing both in-door and out-door sports.
The PCL was established in November 1946 under the Indian Companies Act VII of 1913. Since its inception, the Club has been dedicated to fostering a spirit of camaraderie among its members by providing excellent facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports.
The Club is governed by an Executive Committee (E.C.) comprising of elected representatives from among the Life Members. The President of the club is chosen by the EC every year.
The Chairman and two Honorary Secretaries are elected from within the elected members of the E.C. The Executive Committee also appoints the Treasurer, along with Secretaries responsible for promoting, supervising, and ensuring the effective functioning of the various facilities offered by the Club.
